# SpeakDo for ERPNext

The ERPNext integration is more recent than the Dolibarr one; it is in **initial support**. The SpeakDo app, confirmations, profiles and AI assistants work the same way; what differs is the module installed in the ERP and the list of available actions.

## The companion module

The `speakdo_erpnext` companion module is a **Frappe app**, installed in your ERPNext instance by its administrator. It is used to:

- configure the SpeakDo integration in ERPNext;
- manage the connection settings with the SpeakDo middleware;
- enable user enrollment by QR code;
- provide the middleware with the information it needs: device status, user permissions.

It does not host the conversational engine and does not reimplement ERPNext features. It is not a mobile app: the app used in the field is the SpeakDo PWA.

## Installation

The companion module **has no public release yet**. It will be published, with its verified ERPNext/Frappe compatibility, on the SpeakDo website ([integrations](https://speakdo.fr/en/integrations/)). To try SpeakDo with your ERPNext instance, write to [hello@speakdo.fr](mailto:hello@speakdo.fr) stating your ERPNext and Frappe versions.

## Configuration

From ERPNext, the module links your instance to SpeakDo: it declares the instance address and sets up a signed connection with the middleware. This link is specific to your instance; it cannot be moved to another address without a new installation.

## Enrollment

Each ERPNext user pairs their phone with a **temporary QR code**. At pairing time, the companion module provides the middleware with an access specific to that user (an ERPNext API token): actions are then executed with **their** ERPNext permissions. No password is entered in the app. Without a usable access, pairing is refused.

## Compatibility

Actions bound to ERPNext, their limits and the actions with no equivalent are listed on [ERPNext compatibility](/en/catalogue/compatibilite-erpnext), a page generated from SpeakDo's code.

## Known limits

- **Real-condition validation in progress**: no execution on a real ERPNext instance is documented yet.
- **Interventions**: the SpeakDo intervention record (dated lines, duration, invoicing) has no ERPNext equivalent. Maintenance Visits can be looked up, but creating and invoicing interventions is refused.
- **Invoices**: an ERPNext invoice is only paid through a Payment Entry; SpeakDo never marks it as paid directly.
- **Prospects and suppliers**: in ERPNext they are documents distinct from customers; third-party search only covers customers.
- **AI assistants**: the MCP connection is validated with Dolibarr; it is not yet announced as validated with ERPNext.
