Connect an AI assistant to SpeakDo

With SpeakDo, you can work in Dolibarr in two ways:

  • with the mobile application, for field work;
  • with an MCP-compatible AI assistant, to use the actions authorised for your account.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the connection protocol between the assistant and SpeakDo. It is not a separate product: both interfaces use the same Dolibarr permissions, controlled actions and confirmation rules.

ERP validated with AI assistants: Dolibarr. MCP access is not yet announced as validated with ERPNext.

What your assistant can do#

After connecting, the assistant automatically discovers the actions available to your user: the same catalog as the mobile app, filtered by your business profile, your account policy, your ERP modules and your permissions. It can for example search for a customer, look up a quotation or prepare an intervention.

The catalogue differs by user. SpeakDo does not grant extra permissions: an action your account cannot perform in Dolibarr is not offered to the assistant.

Connect Claude#

The Claude connector is currently validated with SpeakDo in real-world conditions.

Before you start#

  • you can access your user record in Dolibarr;
  • your administrator has activated SpeakDo and MCP access for your user;
  • your Claude plan can add a custom MCP connector.

Create the access in Dolibarr#

  1. In Dolibarr, open your user record and then the SpeakDo tab.
  2. In the MCP Access section, choose Claude.
  3. Create an OAuth access.
  4. Keep the displayed pairing code. It is required for authorisation and is displayed only once.

If the MCP Access section is unavailable, ask your SpeakDo administrator to activate it for your user.

Add the connector in Claude#

  1. In Claude, add a custom MCP connector.

  2. Enter the MCP URL:

    https://api.speakdo.fr/mcp

  3. Enter the OAuth Client ID:

    claude

  4. Leave the OAuth Client Secret blank.

  5. Claude opens the SpeakDo authorisation page.

  6. Enter the pairing code generated in Dolibarr, then authorise the connection.

Claude then automatically discovers the actions your user can actually access.

Sensitive actions require confirmation#

A write action always follows this flow:

Your request
    ↓
SpeakDo prepares the action
    ↓
Claude shows the summary
    ↓
You confirm
    ↓
SpeakDo rechecks permissions
    ↓
Dolibarr performs the action

Preparation alone does not create anything in the ERP.

Example#

You: “Create an intervention for Acme tomorrow at 3 pm, subject: Fleet follow-up.”

Assistant: “I will create an intervention:

  • Third party: Acme
  • Date: tomorrow, 3 pm
  • Subject: Fleet follow-up

Confirm?”

You: “Yes.”

Only after this confirmation is the intervention created in Dolibarr.

Revoke an access#

In Dolibarr, open the relevant user record, then the MCP Access section in the SpeakDo tab. Revoke the relevant access. The assistant can no longer use it.

Technical integrations#

For some machine-to-machine services, SpeakDo can issue a dedicated access token. It is displayed once, can be revoked, and is not a Dolibarr API key.

This page documents the Claude OAuth flow. Never share a technical token with an unauthorised person or assistant.

Compatibility#

Claude is the first MCP client validated with SpeakDo. Other clients may require specific authentication or capability support; they are not announced as validated until tested.
